Holy Bible
Joshua
1:8
Brothers and sisters, peace to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Today, we’re stepping into a wonderful message called “Living a Right Life with God’s Word.” Doesn’t that stir something in your heart? Many of us have felt lost in life, wandering without direction, tired and confused. But today, God is speaking to us: “Fix your life with My Word and live a right life!”
In Joshua 1:8, God says: “Don’t stop reading this book of the law. Think about it day and night so you can follow it carefully. Then your way will be successful, and you’ll do well.” This verse lights up a path for us. Let’s see how we can live a right life with God’s Word.
A Tired Life on Wrong Paths
What are wrong paths in life? They’re when we keep wandering in sin, lost without a goal. In this message, a brother shared his story. At just 10 years old, he started drinking, chewing tobacco, stealing at home, and living wildly. Even when his family tied him with chains, his heart kept wandering in sin. Doesn’t this sound like many of us? We might look spiritual on the outside, but inside, we’re worn out on wrong paths.
In Job 1:7, Satan tells God: “I’ve been wandering around the earth, going back and forth.” That’s how Satan works—wandering without peace. When we live in sin, we’re like that too. But God wants to pull us out of those wrong paths and guide us to a right life.
Living a Right Life with God’s Word
What does a right life mean? It’s leaving wrong paths and walking straight with God’s Word. In this message, that brother heard God’s Word one day, fell to his knees, and asked for forgiveness. That Word fixed his life. He joined Calvary Temple and gave his life to serve God.
In Joshua 1:8, God told Joshua three things we should do too:
- Think about the Word – Read God’s Word every day and think about it.
- Believe the Word – Trust that it will come true in your life.
- Follow the Word – Live the way it tells you to.
A sewing machine works only if you read its manual. In the same way, we know how God wants us to live only by reading the Bible. Living a right life with God’s Word means letting it fix our lives.
A Lord Who Fixes Us with Love
Our Lord Jesus Christ loves us so much that He gave His life for us. In this message, a young man promised his mother, “Even if I die, I won’t stop praying or reading the Word.” On a ship, people troubled him, but he kept his promise. Jesus loves us like that too—He gave His life for us. In return, we should love His Word and spend time with Him.
In Jeremiah 1:5, God says: “Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I knew you.” God has loved us since the beginning and has big plans for us. Instead of wandering on wrong paths, living a right life with His Word is our goal.
Prayer
Holy and loving Father, Your love has no limits. You gave Your life for us. Today, we kneel before You, admitting we’ve been tired on wrong paths. Help us live a right life with Your Word. Give us the desire to think about Your Word every day, the faith to believe it, and the strength to follow it. Make our lives tools in Your hands, bringing You joy with a right life. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!
