Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Peace in God’s Presence

Dear brothers and sisters, today we’re going to rejoice in God’s wonderful promise. Life brings many burdens—family responsibilities, work stress, health problems, or money troubles. These can make us feel crushed. But God looks at us and says with love, “Come to Me, put your burden on Me.” In Psalm 55:22, He promises, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” This verse gives us peace and hope. Let’s see how we can give our burdens to Him and what happens when we do.

Giving Your Burden to God

The Pain of Carrying Burdens

So many people in this world groan under their burdens. They run here and there, trying to earn salvation or peace, but they don’t find it. When we carry our burdens alone, we get tired and hurt. But Jesus came into this world and took all our burdens on the cross. He offers us salvation for free. In Matthew 11:28, He says, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Why are we still carrying these burdens ourselves?

The Lord’s Shoulders Carry the Load

In Isaiah 9:6, we hear a great promise: "A child is born to us, a son is given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders." Jesus came and carried our burdens on His shoulders. Many people in history have added burdens to us, but Jesus is the only One who came to take them away. When we put our burden on Him, we feel light, calm, and joyful.

Prayer Lifts the Burden

A servant of God once said, “I have so much work today, so I’ll spend more time in prayer.” That sounds surprising, right? We might think, “I’m too busy, I’ll skip prayer today.” But that servant knew a secret—when we pray and give our burden to God, He works for us. In Psalm 55:22, David cried out to God when his enemy Ahithophel plotted against him. God gave him victory. No matter what challenges we face, we can lift our burdens to God through prayer.

Find Rest in God

Dear friends, today God gives us a beautiful invitation: “Put your burden on Me, and I’ll take care of you.” It’s our job to give it to Him, and it’s His promise to help us. What burden is weighing you down today? Health? Family? Money? Whatever it is, put it on the Lord and find rest in His grace. Close your eyes and say this simple prayer: “Lord, I put my burden on You. Help me and give me peace. Amen.” May God bless you!
